ANTHONY KARMELO STUDENT WHO STABBED A FOOTBALLER TO DEATH RELEASED ON BAIL

Date:

Centennial High School student Anthony Karmelo facing a murder charge for allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old boy, Austin Metcalf, has been released on bail after the amount was reduced from one million dollars to two and a half hundred thousand dollars ($250,000). He is currently under house arrest with an ankle monitor awaiting his trial date.

According to police statements, the incident occurred after Metcalf “grabbed” Anthony in a confrontational situation. Witnesses said they saw blood pouring from Metcalf’s chest before he died at his brother’s arms.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Anthony has garnered strong support from the public. A fundraising campaign through the Give Send Go platform has raised as much as $415,000 from its fans and supporters, which has sparked a heated debate online.

Critics argue that the acquittal of a suspect of such a heinous murder undermines confidence in the justice system, with his supporters arguing that there may be another side to this narrative and that Anthony deserves a chance to defend himself in court.
