You know the story never ends well when the Police say “he was last seen at 10.00 pm in the company of a female companion”. It’s a really bad Titanic-esque script where everyone can predict how the movie will end. Chris Musando just happened to be the guy who is in charge of the KIEMS ICT security infrastructure that is designed to stop the hacking of IEBC’s computerized election system. The system can apparently only be hacked or tampered from within by an agent provocateur.
Chris is one of the three individuals who has all the codes and security protocols for the IEBC system. His boss James Muhati – one of the other fellas who knows the codes was recently sent on compulsory leave, making Chris the Acting ICT Manager. The third fella – who is now clearly the de facto ICT Manager – is Alex Kioni, a security consultant whose story with IBM, one of the security contractors is as dodgy as IEBC’s reputation.
So, they found Chris’s car either in Roisambu or TRM whichever version you believe. I suspect they’re eventually going to find him around 9th or 10th of August, having consumed industrial strength “mchele” and has only recovered and found himself stark naked and robbed of his possessions at a flat in Kahawa Sukari or something.
Meanwhile, all this drama is designed to help people forget that IEBC and Al Gunia printed 900,000 extra Presidential ballot papers. Of course, they’re saying this is normal. Kenyans are inherently stupid and we have to account for spoilt ballots and give voters additional ballot papers to vote again. Since they’ve messed up the first ones, we’ll even be helpful and give them one of the green house stock that is prefilled for them.
In other news, the story of a machete wielding hawker who engaged the elite Recce Company in an 18 hour battle continues to dumbfound the sensibility of folks. Chuck Norris armed with a machete that can slap bullets away couldn’t have done what this hawker managed I tell you.
Have an intriguing day good people.
