President Uhuru Kenyatta coming out on Mashujaa Day to categorically pronounce himself on supporting BBI places DP Ruto in a very awkward position.
Ruto failed to read the signs early enough. Now he finds himself in very precarious situation pleading to be included in the reggae after months opposing what he didn’t know thinking he was opposing Raila.
The choice DP has is LIMITED to;
a) Continue opposing BBI meaning his divorce with the Uhuru’s government will be official and inevitable. His continued stay in government will no longer be tenable.
b) Change tune and support BBI then he will have completely disoriented his equally deluded troops. BBI was never ever about handcarts and wheelbarrows.
Whichever choice he makes, DP shall emerge as a wishy washy and treacherous politician who cannot be trusted with reigns of power.
Paul Mwangi has confirmed the BBI Task Force are handing the report to Uhuru and Raila probably today. This development puts to great shame the premature celebrations the likes of Muthama, Khalwale, Ichungwa, Nyoro, Ndii already had.
They would question why is it only Raila talking about BBI while Kenyatta is silent. Oh, RAO has been played, oh RAO has been that.
In Kisii yesterday, Kenyatta left no doubt where his heart was and where he wants the country to go. On this one he is firmly with his brother Raila. BBI is the deal!
It was never about Raila becoming president but about the future of Kenya as a nation. How couldnt young politicians not figure this out? In fact people like Ndii even insinuated having “advised” Raila that BBI was a ploy to trick him. Big PhD idiot that man is.
Ruto is now free to resign and then go round the country with his right hand man Didmus Barasa to oppose BBI; we shall meet at the referendum.
