It all started in Nyangores then went on to Kericho and now in Mt Kenya. Kenyans of low means are hurt and have no reason to support Uhuru regime. High taxes, high cost of living, unemployment, insecurity, corruption, nepotism, tribalims, cronysim et al are among the top evils afflicting this regime.
Mt Kenya residents are also now speaking out…… oh, yes and the Mt Kenya mafia/Uhuru Kitchen cabinet is in panic. To try and rescue Uhuru the mafia are calculating on how to stem anger especially in the larger GEMA region- they have formed Mt Kenya Foundation to rally the poor masses by spreading fear against CORD Leader Raila.
Let me share two posts that capture what many Mt Kenya wanainchi have been saying about the Kenyatta family owned Radio station Kameme FM’s propaganda about protecting “uthamaki (Uhuru Kenyatta’s kingdom/presidency)”…
1. Via Vincent Kithome
Yesterday I listened to Kameme FM in the morning and was so much disturbed by an advert done by the radio station calling upon their community to register as voters massively so as to defend “uthamaki” presidency… The advert was repeated almost 10 times in less than 1hour and it sounded like this thing they called Uthamaki was theirs by right.
The radio station narrated chronology of freedom fighters but mentioning only those of their ethnic group and lamented that if those heroic freedom fighters woke up one day and found that their descendants had let other tribes (nduuuriri) to rule over Kenya, they would curse the community and go back to their graves………
I have nothing against any community, but I dare say that Kenya has 43 tribes and there is no tribe with more rights than another. We’re all rightfully entitled to equal rights.
One tribe cannot purport to he the Messianic Rulers of this Nation… Hapana.
2. Via Carley Mwangi
My name is Carley Mwangi and yes am a Kikuyu. However, unlike most of my fellow tribe-men, I refuse to be blind-folded by the so called andu-a-nyumba politics.
So you call upon us as Kikuyu to rise early in the break of dawn on August of 2017 to go vote back Uhuru Kenyatta????? Why? Your reason is ‘tuchunge presidency isiende to another part of the country’.
This is now outdated. Am afraid if you still reason as such, then you are the main root of the problem in our country. Look at what is happening to our country. Coastal politicians who oppose the government are being ripped of their security guards. What do you call that if not modern dictatorship? What is it if not pure blackmail?
I want a President who is fair and faces opposition like a true and worthy leader. My worry is that Kenyans will still be blinded by tribalism even this coming elections. They say history repeats itself simply because we as humans chose not to listen and learn the first time. I just hope that they will not be blind enough to go into another ‘post-election violence’.
No one owns Nairobi, na presidency in Kenya si ya mama ya mtu wala kabila fulani.
