Dennis Onyango:>>>Okoa Kenya referendum bid has not collapsed. The country has only heard from the Jubilee wing of the divide called IEBC. Okoa Kenya Movement has not spoken. You cannot stop a vehicle you were not driving.
Ben Mulwa >>In 2007, one bright Sunday afternoon, at about 3pm of December 30, Mr. Samuel Kivuitu sold his soul for a bowl of soup. We all know what became of him. Abandoned by even those who benefited from his decision, he lived a hollow, haunted and lonely life thereafter.
That’s my little message/reminder this morning to my fellow young Kenyan, Mr. Ezra Chiloba, in whose hands are the lives of 45 million Kenyans.
Good morning, my fellow countrymen and women?
Silas J >>If IEBC as currently constituted doesn’t fall, then, as matter-of-factly and sadly so, Kenya will fall in its stead, with a louder bang than before. And obviously, with the benefit of 2007 rear mirror, plus its near-fragile twin of 2013, we can’t as a Nation, afford such nonsense, again. Folks must stop burying their heads in the sand.
If by yesterday, IEBC asked for MORE time to finish verification of the 1.6 Million signatures, who authored for them a draft statement overnight to wake up and tell the world that Okoa Kenya signatures were barely 900,000?
Sospeter O >> In conformity with Dualle’s theory, IEBC has- under bizarre rigging-like circumstances- just declined half of CORD’s 1.6 million signatures, and counted them as 891,000. It appears as though IEBC just acquiesced to pressure from the JAP bureaucrats to kill the OKOA Kenya initiative. The bureaucrats are scared that they may loose in a Referendum, given recent by-election voting patterns.
JAP, which was formed with the noble intention of nationalizing Uhuru and Ruto from tribal kingpins to national leaders, has lost all parliamentary and Senatorial by-elections outside Kikuyu and Kalenjin counties. Which means that despite the trapping of incumbency, they are still where they started as an alliance of 2 ethnicities. With such “winning patterns” for JAP, and IEBC behavior, it becomes very difficult to believe that Jubilee won in 2013.
John K: IEBC: Without a foul proof voter registration, validation and vote tallying system, it is no use voting in 2017. Not with IEBC in its current state. All CORD elected leaders from Governors to MCAs must address this issue as a matter of urgency.
