What Businessman Jacob Juma wrote on his timeline today concerning the number of registered voters and why Jubilee is likely to win next year’s elections is true.
Jacob is not a blogger..he has his companies running. The other time he had sued the Kenyan government in a US court over revocation of his company licence..I’m yet to know how it ended.
He wrote about misappropriation of Eurobond proceeds on his twitter account long before people like Oketch Ole Onyango knew what Eurobond meant..Most of his social media postings have come to pass.
Our problem,I tell you,is thinking that those who tell us the truth are being used by Jubilee to disassemble CORD.And it is going to cost us.
What Jacob meant,in simple terms,is that we’ve not registered a number of voters, higher enough to send Jubilee packing if elections were to be held today. That a lot still need to be done.
I saw someone quote IEBC figures to discredit his post..and it got me thinking.Have we,all of a sudden, trusted IEBC,the very body we want disbanded?
We still have some youths within the Party who won’t stomach divergent opinions..they block and insult people on their timelines, write pamphlets on their timelines of how Jubilee is going to fail, while they lack the courage to call for party reforms!
Without seriousness in ODM,let us not lie to ourselves,Raila Odinga is still going to do a Devon Loch! For how will he win,if people don’t want to discuss the negatives that are slowly but surely sinking our boat?
We’re more comfortable sharing Raila Odinga’s speeches and his timetables of travel for mere Facebook likes and comments while voter apathy in Nyanza and other CORD areas is growing bolder.
The know-it-all attitude, that we spend longer time responding to newspaper columnists and attacking personalities, should cease and those energies diverted to more productive items and messaging that can help us redeem our staggering image.
