Former Constitution Implementation Commission (CIC) Chairman Charles Nyachae has called on IEBC commissioners to resign for the sake of Kenyans.
Nyachae said that protests will not solve the standoff but warned that such a move could lead to violence in the country.
Speaking on Tuesday during a live TV interview, Nyachae said that the commissioners should resign, which is a matter of honor and integrity.
He added: “All stakeholders must come together and find the way forward because we are running out of time. Every player has a responsibility to ensure that we have an electoral board that is acceptable across the board.”
Hon Nyachae is expected to carry the Jubilee flag for Kisii County governorship race and will most likely lead president Uhuru’s campaigns in Gusii land. Nyachae’s call is an indication that Jubilee may throw in the towel and cause Isaack Hassan and his disgraced team to vacate office sooner than later.
