A reliable source at a Nairobi West hospital has revealed that there was drama when 3 of the 11 police officers airlifted from Kisumu for specialised treatment in Nairobi REFUSED to undertake a basic medical examination.
The three officers reportedly refused to be examined by the doctor and instead said they had received first aid at home and that they did not need any further check. One of the officers was overhead telling his colleague that it was dangerous for them to receive medical attention at the facility.
“You never know what they may inject us Afande, mimi sitaki dawa” one of the junior officers told his boss.
The officers are said to have been embarrassed after their photos went viral online showing them staging an act at Wilson airport.
“Bibi amepiga simu bwana, she says I should be careful- serikali ni mnyama kubwa (state craft)- we might be eliminated via lethal injected ndio isemekane tulikuwa na internal injuries now that this show is busted”- another officer worried was quoted.
With high desperation on some operatives to depict the current IEBC debate as a tribal issue and the selective use of excessive force, there is indeed worry that some may take this PR jokes to far to an extent of eliminating police officers to justify the antics.
It is being alleged that other police officers sticked Elastoplast on their healthy faces and as they assisted their SUPPOSEDLY ‘injured’ colleagues, they forgot and held the same hands that were bandaged without the victims complaining of pains.
Kenyans on social media complained that a man who was beaten by the police last week was not accorded the same treatment as the uninjured officers and in any case Boniface Manono woke up the morning after and did a round of TV and Radio interviews.
