Dear Caleb,
My name is Albert Nyakundi Amenya aka the Banana Peddler. I monger my bananas at the streets of Kisii Town.
I must admit that I was becharmed by your thoughtless accusations against my brother Anthony Kibagendi over his role in Radio Jambo’s top political talk show, Mazungumzo Wazi Wazi.
Like it or not, Anthony is a prodigious debater whose distinguished bravery and courage takes aback many. Take it to the bank; humans of your stature can never outfox his proficiency in English and Swahili, let alone Ekegusii.
I strongly hold that you progressed in error as a result of limited knowledge about how media operates.
Before I enjoin you to eschew from your discombobulating workings of the devil, let me fearlessly gainsay your feckless allegations against Kiba, on the same platform you idiotically spewed them.
Caleb, I understand you are just a busybody hack write inspired by a few data bundles courtesy of the powers that be at the helm of Kisii County.
The manner at which you blemished the person of Mr Kibagendi is not only womanish, but also highly regrettable. Let me tell you that both Governor Ongwae and Anthony Kibagendi are my very good friends. Unlike what you are doing, the best I can do is to reconcile them.
Boss, it is shockingly derogatory and lack of strength of character to tell your fellow tribesman that he cannot trace his ancestral roots. Boss, you think you are more Catholic than the Pope himself ?
To tell you the truth, you are not ifferent from Judas Iscariot, the man that gave away his master in exchange of a few coins.
I would have elected to pardon the skyrocketing levels of greed that exude from you given that you have bills to take care of, if only it were not at the disadvantage of my friend Kibagendi.
If Governor Ongwae and Kibagendi have scores to settle, how does that concern you? How it your damn business? Who are you to act on behalf of the governor and purport to hurl oral stones at his adversaries?
What if Kibagendi has unassailable evidence to back up his sundry claims? It has been said time without number that corruption in Kisii County is an open secret.
In your post, you ignorantly insinuated that it is Kibagendi who begs Radio Jambo for an interview and not otherwise. I forgive you because you are not a journalist to comprehend journalistic procedures.
I do not know your level of education to be able to accurately judge the intelligence in your person. That is why I am a bit lackadaisical on you. Nonetheless, I can readily measure your ineptness by the poor quality of your arguments.
To edify you a little young man, Kibagendi is a resident political commentator at Radio Jambo. In fact, it is Radio Jambo that looks for him and not vice versa.
Protocol dictates the producer to follow up and ensure interviewees are readily available before the show begins. Thusly, for your ignorance, the interviewees are paid per show by the station.
My brother, as a tricenarian, I expect you to do more productive things for Kisii County rather than sullying other people’s reputations for few coins.
Boss, there is a proverb that says “Urine does not clean faeces” Kiba is not a mendicant like you. He is a professional. He does business and his business is doing well. Kiba and Ongwae are close friends to ODM party leader Raila Odinga.
Long story short, Kiba is an anti-corruption crusader, political activist and an intelligent political commentator. He fights for the progress of our country. He takes on both the high and mighty in society whenever he finds that they, or they superintend have caught the corruption bug which manifest in indiscipline, illegality, wastage and outright diversion of budgetary allocations.
Readers many, especially listeners will agree with me most of his political commentaries are never complete without buttressing them with unassailable facts and figures.
Young man, “Anger/greed is an acid that can do more harm to the vessel in which it is stored than to anything on which it is poured” Have a great moments ahead.
Sincerely yours,
Alberto The Banana Peddler
