Ann Waiguru WILL BE JAILED for CORRUPTION After Uhuru EXITS – Lawyer Donald Kipkorir

In movies, one can get away with the perfect crime. In real life, it takes the dogged courage of an honest Investigator to unravel a crime. When we were told that Kshs. 791m, was not lost, and later that it was stolen from NYS, red-herrings were thrown all over to shield CS Anne Waiguru. Even EACC “cleared” her!

How could she even cleared when none of the criminal cases touching on NYS have begun? How can EACC predict the outcome of the courts? How will they know what the Judges will say once seised with and have sieved the evidence? How could she be cleared before we are told all the beneficiaries of the money?

In 2004, corruption allegations surfaced against Ehud Olmert, then Mayor of Jerusalem. He became Prime Minister and used all powers and connections to stymie the investigations. Out of office, the investigations and trial begun, and today, he started imprisonment to be the first Prime Minister of Israel to be convicted and jailed for corruption.

Anne Waiguru may buy time. She may stall the process. But she ought to understand that in Kenya, there is no limitation period for crime. If she perpetrated theft at NYS thinking it was the perfect crime, she may get away for now, but not for long. Unless she is Agatha Christie. One day, all perfect crimes see the light of day. Meanwhile, EACC owe Kenyans an apology for dereliction of duty in reaching unfounded “acquittal”!
