EBC chief executive officer Ezra Chiloba will address a press conference at Nairobi’s Pangani police station at noon.
Chiloba will explain circumstances in which BVR Kits that were violently robbed from IEBC officials in Mandera by Alshabaab found their way to Eastleigh where they were being used to register voters illegally.
Police from Pangani station recovered BVR kits and voter registration materials stolen from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
Nairobi County commander Japheth Koome said three suspects are in police custody over the theft.
Mr Koome said that the suspects were found with 33 voter registration forms in Eastleigh at a hotel assocaited with Garissa town MP Hon Aden Duale.
