The biggest media house in Kenya The Nation Media Group that is owned by His Highness Agha Khan and controlled by Mt Kenya is set to lay off hundrends of workers due to re-organisation.
The move will mainly affect the Nation newspaper contracted correspondents from based at the counties. The contracts were supposed to be renewed but the human resource manager had withheld the signing over unclear circumstances.

The media house said that the employees that will be affected by the downsizing will be supported through the transition by way of send off package, good referrals to the other employers and counseling.
