Mr President please!
When you go to kamba, luo, luhyia, masai, kisii, kalenjin, uswahilini, meru, somali, embu lands and talk to them, know that you are representing my interests too as a kikuyu. Your attitude, your language, your behavior and your misdemeanor affects my day to day interactions with them.
You may have the power, the money, the influence to make it in life but I need that mkamba, that mluhyia, huyo mjaluo, huyo mswahili, huyo mkalee, ama huyo mmeru to make it through the day. You are not isolating yourself but you are restricting my personal growth with my fellow Kenyans through your words.
Whenever I meet the tribes that are at the receiving ends of your rants, they see you in me and I can feel the hatred in their eyes just because of you. They cannot beat you or burn your mansion but they will take what i have taken years to build just because they see you in me. The laws of physics dictates that for every “action, there is a reaction equal but on the opposite direction.”
It your late father who famously quoted during the infamous Kapenguria trial;
“Denial of freedom of speech results in a dangerous explosion, the only thing sane men wish to avoid.”
Lead the nation like a father should lead a family in times of turmoil and storms. A ship needs a steady hand in rough seas.
I remain the daughter of my father; Kanyi Mwari Wa Wawere.
