Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has declared his 2022 Presidential bid.
Kivutha Kibwana who accompanied the Deputy President William Ruto in the Turkana Cultural Festival made the declaration saying as a top performing he should not be sidelined in the national politics as he will be battling out for the country’s top seat. “I mentioned this month that I will be in the ballot come 2022.”
A section of Kenyans have been pushing the former Wiper Chairman to run for President. Prof Kibwana’s development record and dedication to public service has won him many admirers cross the country
The Law Professor also offered some political advice to the DP, asking him to seek audience with Raila Odinga if he wants to be in the next government.
“I wish you could also sit with Raila. That would send a good message to the country. A conversation with Raila will ensure you’re part of the next government as much as it will unite the country,” Kibwana stated.
Both leaders were hosted by Governor Josphat Nanok who insisted that the county assemblies should engage the public while debating the constitutional amendment Bill presented by the Thairdway alliance dubbed Punguza Mizigo. Governor Nanok asked Kenyans to be alert and take time to read and analyse critically proposals presented by BBI and Punguza Mizigo cartels
