THE BIG FALL OUT? Watching Ruto official convoy, speeding into CBD from Karen at midday, followed by 10s of heavily tinted SUVs, it is being reported that the DP had an early morning meeting with political allies following yesterday’s unprecedented dressing down at State House.
After being lectured at Statehouse over use to undermine the BBI the DP was humiliated further after Uhuru ordered Jubilee party secretary general Raphael Tuju to issue a terse statement disowning Tanga Tanga team’s much publicized Naivasha retreat.
The upcoming weekend rallies will point to the unfolding events that geared at bringing closer the total fallout of the President and his deputy over 2022 succession. The fact that Senate Majority leader Hon Murkomen and Gatundu MP Hon Moses Kuria have not called off the Nakuru parallel rally confirms DP Ruto is digging in for a fight with the Kenyattas using MPs from the president’s own backyard.
The Uhuru succession will soon inevitably start claiming its victims and the vocal Mt Kenya MPs will be on the line.
If Ruto ever needed prayers then this is the time, most of his allies like Aden Duale are playing it safe by sitting on the fence on critical issues, only handful of choristers are standing with him key among them the Mt Kenya region MPs Hon Kimani Nchungwa, Moses Kuria, Ndindi Nyoro, Kimani Ngunjiri and Susan Kihika all of whom got challenges in their respective constituencies and have something to grind against the Kenyattas or other powerful Statehouse operatives
