There was drama at the home of Nairobi businessman tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi when police refused NASA leader Raila Odinga to leave the residence after visiting the family.
After Raila was done with consulting with the family it is reported that police refused to open the gate for him.
Raila took to task the officer in charge of the operation and asked him to order the contingent of police out of the residence as per the high court order.
The high court on Tuesday afternoon ordeted police to stop harrassing or arresting the businessmen.
After arguing for hours Police alllowed the former prime minister to leave at 3am but then his security and top aides advised him to spend the rest of the night/morning at Jimmy’s residence for fear over his (Raila) safety.
As of 5:05am the former premier was still held at Jimmy Wanjigi’s residence.
Throughout the night Raila engaged the special police that have camped at Jimmy’s residence several hours after high court gave orders to all government agencies to stop harrasing, intimidating or arresting Mr Wanjigi.
