Dr. Asaka Nyangara is a vastly experienced, self-made and well respected international public servant who has announced his intention to vie for Governor of Kisumu County in 2017. Dr. Nyangara is a native of Nyakach in rural Kisumu County.
Having seen that Kisumu is facing critical leadership problems that have compromised the county’s future by impeding its potential; and in order to organize and effectively manage and reap the benefits of devolution, Dr. Nyangara has seen that Kisumu needs to have a pragmatic, progressive, independent and corruption-free leader to help partner with residents and guide the county to its full potential.
Last year, after spending much of his time and resources supporting different projects in Kisumu, he announced his plans to seek the governorship so as to restore hope of every family and make Kisumu a model county, pledging to repair the damage incumbent Jack Ranguma has done to Kisumu’s economy and public image.
A founding life member of the Orange Democratic Movement, Dr. Nyangara has devoted his adult life to creating prosperity and opportunity for disaster stricken families and those in need of relief. He has spent more than 20 years working for international development organizations striving to bring people together so as to get things done.
Dr Nyangara is open for ideas on how he can bolster the governorship race, so to announce how volunteers can get involved in his campaign movement. Thousands have expressed interest to volunteer for Dr Nyangara slowly building momentum to the discomfort of Governor Jack Raguma.
