I had NEVER intended to comment on Sen. Wetang’ula’s remarks with regards to who should be the Presidential flagbearer for CORD. But his persistent outburst and seemingly irritating remarks on the person of Raila Odinga will make me say something about the whole thing.
First he MUST know that Mr. Odinga has sacrificed a lot to reach where he is today.
Two, unlike some political parties, ODM is the biggest and commands a lot of support across Kenya.
Three, the Luhya nation will vote overwhelmingly for Raila in 2017 just like they have done before.
Four, urging Raila to retire from politics by someone calling himself a co-principal in CORD is itself a sign of cowardice and immaturity in politics.
I support Raila Odinga for what he stands for, what he believes in and what he can offer to Kenyans if elected President.
