Kidero stops Citizen TV interview
The race for Nairobi Governor’s seat is getting dirty each passing day. Governor Evans Kidero last evening is alleged to have used his invisible dollar hand and power to stop a live TV interview on Citizen TV’s Nipashe news featuring Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko
According to sources the interview which was to last for 45-50 minutes, only took 7 minutes after Kidero’s handlers called an influential Manager at Royal Media to cut short Sonko’s interview. Sonko who was about to table evidence on the alleged grabbing of a Kilimani property and allegations murder of the wife of the property owner by associates of Governor Kidero and his PA Wainaina.
Sonko was left high and dry holding after the interview host Salim Swaleh shocked him by ending the interview prematurely. Sources allege Kidero called the senior Manager and promised to oil him if Sonko is kicked out of the studio before he tables his damning evidence which details massive corruption at City Hall.
According to security officials at a nearby pub called Q Lounge, a City Hall vehicle with green plates dropped a brown envelope for the boss one after Sonko was kicked out of the live TV show. This is not the first time for Kidero to splash money to save his job. In 2013 , the Governor is alleged to have dropped Ksh 200 million in dollars to now retired Supreme Court Judge Philip Tunoi for a favourable ruling by dismissing an election petition by his former rival Hon Ferdinand Waititu.
Last week Sonko and Kidero were involved in a brawl at the Senate Public Accounts Committee after Kidero became emotional and rowdy following tabling of evidence by Sonko which revealed wide spread corruption at City Hall.
