This KCPE Scandal revealed by Nation this morning is making me angry, ungovernable and furious.
That this year’s KCPE questions were lifted from a test paper that was sold to a few WEALTHY PRIVILEGED academies last month. Half the questions were lifted from 2 books that were used widely in these schools. I don’t need to STRESS how KENYAN SCHOOL SYSTEM is HOGWASH.
Don’t put your FAITH in it.
While your sons and daughters are toiling to pass that exam without any heads-up, sons and daughters of the rich were sold the exam questions a month ago, they have been revising KCPE for a month now. For them it will be a walk over.
The daughters and sons of the poor will toil in that exam room, some will fail. They will FOREVER be condemned by this system as failures. They will be relegated to stupid poor courses and remain in the lower end chain of life as those PRIVILEGED boys and girls go on to win prestigious courses, later become the top tier of graduates who later own control the few spaces on top.
That’s why I’m of the opinion, take your child to school to open up his BRAINS. Ignore the EXAMS. Once the brains are open, TEACH and SHOW him alternative ways to EARN a better life. In life we are AFTER WAYS TO MAKE MONEY TO EARN A COMFORTABLE LIFE. We are not in competition of how many DEGREES or certificates one has.
Find your life in business, talent, find something do and if it earns your a living, throw away your academic qualifications, in Kenya they are HOGWASH. We can’t compete in a rigged system like this. This is unfair. This is just UNACCEPTABLE. And Radical steps MUST BE TAKEN.
