Malindi and Kericho ‘BUY’ ELECTIONS, WHY ODM Should be WORRIED than Happy

Date:

By Lilian Mogendi

If what happened in today’s by-elections is anything to go by,there is reason for CORD to be more worried than happy.Indeed if what the media fed us with is truth, then CORD has a task ahead as far as 2017 general elections are concerned.

Just to lightly mention something,I think from the look of things, resources have been set aside to manipulate the general elections a head of us. I have been thinking of how much effort, time, and commitment it took the CORD family to thwart the negative efforts by their competition at Malindi. It took the efforts of the ENTIRE COALITION to minimize the alleged voter bribery to an extent the vice did not carry the day.

Then comes the question: WHO IS GOING TO GATE KEEP IN EQUAL MANNER IN 2017 WHEN MOST OF THEM WILL EITHER BE DEFENDING THEIR SEATS OR RUNNING TO OUST THE INCUMBENTS?.I mean people will be taking care of their elections, who will guard against the tampering of the Presidential vote.? I know they have promised to put a parallel tarrying center in place, but who will take care of the voting process to ensure it FREE and FAIR.

My dear CORD,go for time out and brain storm.Do a thorough postmortem on the just concluded by-elections.Do not go to party over Malindi win.
