Jubilee Nairobi Governor’s seat aspirants conspire against Sonko
It has now been established that Jubilee aspirants for the Nairobi Governor’s seat led by Dagoreti South MP Dennis Waweru and Bishop Margaret Wanjiru have joined hands to dent the image of flamboyant Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko.
The two, Waweru and Bishop Wanjiru have even sponsored bloggers to tarnish the name of Sonko who recently declared that he’s number three after President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto in terms of political and social influence.
In the latest smear campaign against Sonko, the anti-Sonko forces within Jubilee have alleged that President Kenyatta barred Sonko from attending the 7th Mashujaa Day celebrations that was held in Machakos because of Sonko’s recent statement claiming he was the “acting President” while President Kenyatta and DP Ruto were out of the country.
However we have confirmed from State House that Sonko was officially invited for the Mashujaa Day fete by President Kenyatta but he failed to attend because of family engagements. According to Sonko’s aide the controversial Senator was not present in Machakos since he had taken his daughter for medical check up at a City Hospital on Thursday 20th during the Mashujaa Day fete.
The aide further revealed that Sonko is now considering working closely with former Presidential candidate Peter Kenneth for the betterment of the people of Nairobi.
State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu has confirmed Sonko’s invitation to the event and he even released to the media the invitation cards that were sent to Sonko by President Kenyatta.
