GOD WORKS IN MIRACULOUS WAYS! WHAT HE GIVES ONE, HE DENIES ANOTHER.

There are people who look and appear like they have it all. On the outside they look happy, prosperous and successful. They drive big cars, run profitable ventures and live in posh and affluent neighborhoods. We admire their lifestyles, marvel at their imposing mansions and wish we had an eighth of what they own. But wait a minute; these guys may appear happy and successful.
It may look like they have ‘reached’. Have they? Really! God does not bless people with everything. Some of the people we look up to with awe and admiration written all over our faces are not half as happy as we think. They may have all the money in the world, they may be famous and powerful, but they also cry.
When they retire to their big expensive beds at night, they toss from one side to the other. Away from the limelight and cameras, they are miserable and forlorn, cutting a pathetic and hopeless picture. Behind closed doors, they are a nervous wreck!
A case in point is a former Minister in both the Moi and Kibaki regimes, with all his fame, wealth and power the man had no child! The only child he had was not his flesh and blood! After his death, his wife was involved in a tussle with a nondescript teacher over the boy’s paternity and maternity!
Before the good professor died he lived a miserable life, always suspicious and cagey. An attempt had been made on his life and this forced him to change his routine, eating only at selected joints, ever alert and conscious of his surroundings.
Some rich folks have children but the brats are spoilt, irresponsible and good for nothing. They spend their parents money partying and holidaying. They are ever posting pictures of their parents cars, mansions and property on instagram. They have no inkling of the businesses their rich parents run. Neither are they interested. We recently heard of an MP’s son who was sentenced to hang for robbery with violence. Pray, what had the boy lacked to double in crime?
Sons and daughters of Bishops and Pastors are not pious and well behaved as we may expect. We know that Bishop’s son who is an alcoholic, rebellious and truant, causing great grief and sorrow to his parents.
There is that wealthy couple who have visited renowned hospitals in the world, withdoctors even, in search of a baby but all in vain. They look at their riches and all they see is misery and regrets. King Solomon had all that a man desires: wisdom, riches, beautiful women of all shapes and sizes, but he lacked joy and contentment. That is why he said it is vanity and a chasing after the wind.
Even in the villages, where poverty and lack are rampant, you find folks laughing, hearty, infectious laughter. There is warmth and love in families amidst the grinding poverty.
And the fabulously wealthy who suffer ill health and spend their fortune and time in and out of hospitals.
We should be grateful and contented with what God has given us. To some He gives good health, to others wealth. Even within the body of Christ, to some He gives a word of wisdom, others the spirit of discernment, still others He gives a word of prophecy. That is How the Almighty God operates.
