Omogambi Nyachae
First congratulations to the Kenya Rugby 7s for reminding us that we’re Kenyan; albeit for a day or so.
Now, to my matter.
There’s a new breed of wannabes that want us to abandon our tribes. Our heritage. WHO WE ARE. They have a new tag “I AM TRIBELESS”. For a start, I AM A KISII & I HAVE NO APOLOGIES for it. Being Kenyan is a choice that depends on my terms.
You see, you can NOT address matters of SYSTEMIC NEGATIVE ETHNICITY by telling us to run away from our CORE HERITAGE.
IF you want to address it, let every Kenyan taxpayer FEEL KENYAN. DIVIDE THE NATIONAL CAKE EQUITABLY. Simple.
For instance, if you’re making public appointments, have a Kikuyu CS, a Luhya PS, a Kisii Ambassador, a Kalenjin Head of parastatal, a Giriama heading a Commission etc…NOT a Kikuyu CS, Kalenjin PS, Kikuyu head of parastatal, Kalenjin M.D. etc. That’s a recipe for chaos.
Even the TJRC report recognizes my maxim.
Why for instance, do you need another Dual Carriageway dissecting Murang’a, Kirinyaga, Nyeri connecting to Embu & Meru? I’m not saying they don’t need it; but so does the rest of the country.
The area already has Eastern, Southern & Northern by-passes that have really opened it up to Nairobi & Eastern Kenya.
For your info, These are regions that are WAY AHEAD of the rest of the pack infrastructurally speaking. Do you know that Northen Kenya, which is the size of Central, Nyanza & Western combined has about 5Kms of tarmac or so…last time I checked?
How about another Dual carriage or Superhighway connecting Kisumu-Busia or Kericho-Kisumu?
We can NOT achieve COHESION & NATIONAL UNITY by yapping about #WeAreOne YET ALL Govt appointments & state resources are going to TWO COMMUNITIES. It’s hypocritical & stinks of raw idiocy.
Justice MUST not only be done, but be seen to have been done.
