Residents of South and North Rift burst into song and dance to celebrate the ICC ruling that declared Deputy President William Ruto and his co-accused radio journalist Joshua Sang HAVE NO CASE TO ANSWER .

In large numbers, they converged at the main town centers in Eldoret, Turbo, Kapseret, Kapsabet, Kericho, Kapkatet, Silibwet, Sotik and Mogogosiek where they held prayers before trooping to the streets on Tuesday evening.

“Today we are happy. We thank God that DP Ruto and Joshua Sang have been set free by the ICC. We now want them and particularly Jubilee to concentrate more development,” Bomet governor said.

The residents who had been glued to their television sets from as early as 3pm said they have been optimistic the duo would have their cases at the Hague-based court dropped.

The International criminal court through a three judge bench dropped the crime against humanity cases after lacking enough incriminating evidence on the charges against the duo hence ruling they had no case to answer.

Bomet governor Isaac Rutto and former Chepalungu MP John Koech expressed joy over the ICC ruling that set the duo free.

Rutto who was at Kiplelji in Chesoen ward for a public baraza, Bomet central said they now expect more on development in the country and a cease on constant political wrangles and fights in the country.

Uasin Gishu governor H.E Mandago on his part declared tomorrow a parking free day in Eldoret town .
