Governor Hassan Joho toured Lamu county today and had a very successful massive rallies at Mokowe, Hindi, Mkunumbi, Ndamwe, Mapenya and Witu areas where his brigade was goven a super warm reception.
Joho said Jubilee has done more harm than good to the Lamu people by imposing projects that will benefit them (Jubilee leaders).
He cited the coal project, which has faced major opposition from residents led by Lamu women representative Shakila Abdalla.
“Why do they want to impose projects that you have opposed? For what gain? Let them solve the land problems here,” Joho asked.
There were ugly scenes in Mpeketoni when hired goons hurled stones at Governor Joho’s convoy.
“We need to vote out this Jubilee government that has brought more harm than good to the people of Lamu. It has not solved historical injustices, land problems among other issues facing Lamu,” said Joho.
Abdulswamad said Coast people need proper services that will uplift their lives and not lies coming so close to the elections.
“We will not accept lies and insults from Jubilee,” said Abdulswamad.
Amana said ODM will prove on a fact by fact basis that Jubilee is only after the Coast votes and not better lives for them
“They are only pretending to do projects close to elections. They were stealing but now they want you to believe that they are busy implementing projects because elections are around the corner,” Amana said.
“The only thing they know best is to insult leaders in their own backyards wherever they go. They insulted Turkana Governor Joseph Nanok and they insulted Joho. Very shameful,” Amana said.
