The howling by Ruto attack dogs at late Hon. Grace Chelagat’s burial in Baringo yesterday was met by very disarming and collected silence mien by Gideon Moi.
And I made the following observations:
1. By Gideon leaving his seat on the dias to go randomly sit with the crowd, he was telling Ruto see the people’s body language here!
2. By going for an overkill with over 40 MPs for someone who then remains unfazed and ignore them all, it might just have exposed Ruto as an overrated political schemer now bordering desperate on hanging onto the existing perception.
3. Gideon’s statement of “Kutangulia sio kufika” deserves more attention.
4. The funeral was really a Ruto 2022 Presidential Campaign rally that attended by majorly incumbent leadership of Miot and House of Mumbi.
Majority of the speakers never even said a word of pole to the bereaved!
The vulnerability of Ruto was seriously exposed and so I expect him now to face more torrent. How will he take it or respond?
