Supreme leader Raila Odinga , DP Ruto and former Gathanga MP Hon Peter Kenneth were among the hundrends of friends who attended the funeral service of the late John Macharia in Gatanga, Muranga.
The late John was son of Business mogul SK Macharia, he died after he was involved in a tragic road accident last week along the Southern bypass in Nairobi. The funeral service was a purely private and only invited mourners graced the occassion.
Ruto flew to Gatanga in Murang’a after his failed attempt to meet retired President Moi to beg forgiveness and seek his blessings.
Supreme leader Raila Odinga, who travelled by road, was at some point forced to stop and address a crowd of locals who wanted him to greet them.
He made a brief address and donated by some money to some of the children who warmly received him with cheers and ululations.
