Fellow Kenyan, DP William Ruto doesn’t believe in God, Jesus the Christ or any religion the way you take him. He is just a clever man who knows that majority of Kenyans are influenced by religious doctrines and ideology.
Ruto uses your belief in the three (God, Christ and religion) to identify with you, take over Church platforms, mobilize you and whip you into line for his political support as fights for presidency. That is fact that any objective (not beholden to tribal ideology, regionalism, or stupid religiosity) observer can make and since God is objective, there’s no contradiction.
Fear any wo/man who walks around bragging about his/her faith. And also, don’t you ever forget that Africa was colonized, plundered and even it’s people killed by Bible carrying missionaries. If the originator of the Bible could do that, what of today’s more educated and sophisticated missionaries like our deputy president?
Faith/religious issues are not neutral in so far as people act out, what they believe or impose on others is their version of heaven. I have no problem with whatever one believes or doesn’t believe in. But I am disturbed when you use your faith to commit atrocities and use the same faith, God or religion as shield against reasonable condemnation. In this kind of circumstances then any goodwilled must find it their responsibility to use reason to expose the underlying fallacies in the practice.
Many are aware that religious bigotry, slavery, colonialism and racism were spread on the alter of God and religion. It took men of courage and reason like John Locke to expose the unreasonableness of such faith practice. And that gave birth to new world order. Is it too much to point out conmanship in DP Ruto’s use of church, faithfuls and religious platforms? Am I not sticking to the traditions and prophetic voice of Moses, Elijah, and Amos?
