The Amani National Congress (ANC) party led by Musalia Mudavadi has suffered a blow after the political parties disputes tribunal on Thursday ruled that Barrack Muluka was illegally appointed as the secretary general of the party.
The tribunal ruled that nominated MP Godfrey Osotsi should be reinstated as the ANC Party Secretary General.
Osotsi had submitted before the tribunal that he was wrongly dismissed from office and that the party operated on an illegality to have Mr. Muluka as the Secretary General.
According to the vibrant nominated MP, who has been viewed as a rebel, Muluka was appointed to the office yet he was not an ANC party member.
Today’s ruling by the tribunal could throw into disarray the planned merger between Moses Wetangula’s FORD-Kenya and ANC.
Policies generated under Muluka’s tenure could also be rendered null and void.
