Resilient people of kenya, I hear tomorrow Jubilee will be launching their manifesto. The Ruto’s, Uhuru’s, Waiguru’s, Kabura’s, Nyokabi’s, Itumbi’s, Thighprenuer’s, Relathieves of those in power, and other meat eaters, attending the gathering of scavengers and predators will show the rest of us how their lives have been transformed over the last five years.
They will tell us how their economy have grown by double digits; a result of their hard work stealing from NYS, Eurobond, Ministry of Health scandal, Ministry of internal security scandal, Ksh 15 billion elnino money, the hustle jet, Amina Mohamed project, etc.
They will tell us how they have employed the youths like Henry Kosgei (70), Francis Kimemia (62), Franklin Bett, and will be offering those graduating from colleges and universities 12 -18 months internships.
They will tell us their story. The same story they have told us in their portal of lies; the same story they have told us through multi-billion shillings GoK deliver campaigns.
In the past, we have vigorously challenged and argued with their story. We have denied their transformation narrative because like most people, we have always argued that as a government, their objective should have been to transform the lives of all Kenyans but not just the select few.
As the meat eaters, scavengers, and predators will be telling their story, broadcasted by their television and newspapers, let us use social media- Facebook, twitter, WhatsApp, emails, etc to tell the true story of Kenyans.
Let’s tell the story of collapsing Kenyans economy as businesses close down and relocate from kenya; let’s talk about the problem of unemployment and poverty; let’s talk about the high prices of food; let’s talk about poor police housing; let’s talk of the stress, anxiety, pain, anguish, and struggles average Kenyans have endured over the last five years of the Jubilee administration as they fight to put food on their tables, give their children an education, and strive to make the lives of their families better.
The story of the suffering of Kenyans is directly connected to the story of the transformation of meat eaters, for it is our blood and flesh that make the Ruto’s and Uhuru’s of kenya filthy rich. Their success is traced to the graveyards where Kenyan youth have buried their ambitions and unrealized dreams, killed by a society that values cronyism and not hard work.
The media will never tell our story; the meat eaters, scavengers, and predators will never tell our story. Our story must be told by us-for it is only us who understand the pain and suffering Jubilee has caused us.
Until the lion learns to write, every story will glorify the hunter. We are the lions of kenya and Jubilee is the hunter, let’s write our own story now that we know how to write.
