President Uhuru Kenyatta said that if re-elected, “Jubilee will offer University and college graduates internships for a period between 12 months to 18 months.Private sector consulted and they will be partnering with the GoK in this transformation.”
Ok ok ok ! Two things;
1. Does this mean that for the last five years that Uhuru has been President, no Kenyan has graduated from any university or college?
2. So according to Jubilee, those youths graduating from universities and colleges don’t deserve full time jobs, but 12 months to 18 months internships.
Dennis Itumbi, how is it possible that Uhuru can be president for five years and not know that the unemployment rate among the youths in kenya stands at 70%? For the last five years, major Kenyan news stations have carried stories of struggling University and college students and graduates- Kenyans with masters degrees carrying placards looking for jobs, university graduates living in the streets eating from garbage bins. You mean President Kenyatta never knew all these?
Uhuru’s statement point to an elitist, rich, and out of touch President who has no knowledge of the day to day suffering of Kenyans, especially the youth. No wonder Uhuru believes that Kenyan problems are caused by global warming and his deputy think that Life is so expensive in kenya because Kenyans have a lot of money.
I was however encouraged by the response from Kenyans in that post.
I can tell you for a fact that there is a silent majority of people out here that you will never hear shouting NASA, but will vote for Raila Odinga.
Jubilee will surely lose on 8/8/17. Kenyans are determined to have a government that will respond to their needs and work to tackle the problems of unemployment; high cost of living; food insecurity; economic growth; create jobs; pay teachers, pay doctors, pay nurses; invest in agriculture; build schools; increase HELB loans allocation to needy students; lower the cost of education; eliminate fees for obtaining HELB, COGC, EACC, and CRB that costs recent graduates in the upwards of Kshs 10,000.
For a secure and prosperous future, I beseech you to vote for NASA.
