“Raila niachie alliance” mourn president Magufuli, says he was the best

I am deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Tanzanian President, H.E. Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.

H.E Magufuli was a dedicated and focused leader who will be remembered as a strict and no-nonsense person who stood for good governance, integrity and stronger service delivery within the civil service. He was also a strong advocate for economic growth in Tanzania and the East African region in general.

President Magufuli was much loved within the region for his fantastic sense of humour, candour and straight talking nature. We will miss great oratorical skills and wonderful speeches!

As Kenyans, we will always remember him as a leader who stood by his people and defended his opinions no matter the consequences.

I would therefore like to extend my sincere condolences to his wife Mama Janeth Magufuli, his family, friends and the people of the Republic Tanzania for losing a man who impacted all our lives in different ways.

May God rest his soul in eternal peace!

MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO THE PEOPLE OF TANZANIA FOLLOWING THE PASSING ON OF PRESIDENT JOHN POMBE MAGUFULI

It is saddening to have received the news of the passing on of Tanzanian President, H.E. Dr. John Pombe Magufuli.

H.E Magufuli was a towering East African leader with a solid transformational agenda for Tanzania as evidenced during his tenure in public service. His track record was hallmarked by dedication, conviction, and the urge for service delivery to the public.

As the president, H.E Magufuli embarked on a comprehensive reform agenda to rid Tanzania of corruption and complacency, and bequeath it a visionary and servant leadership. In his capacity as a Minister for Works, he oversaw an intensive road network expansion program to open up Tanzania, encourage trade and spur economic growth.

When he rose to become a Member of Parliament under CCM in 1995, he had campaigned on a platform of decency, honesty, and integrity. These are fundamental values that we also hold dear.

A strict disciplinarian as a teacher, H.E Magufuli earned the second highest academic conferment to become a Doctor in Industrial Chemistry, thus reaffirming the central place of education in our society.

Indeed, his vast knowledge and experience transcended the borders of the East African Community, benefitting even the Southern African Development Community when he was the Chairperson.

We will continue to cherish his memory and contribution as a region.

Therefore, I extend my sincere condolences to the family, friends, and the people of Tanzania for losing their respected Head of State.

We share in this grief and it is my prayer that God grants them the fortitude to bear this devastating loss because to Him we belong and to Him we shall return.
