President Uhuru Kenyatta has called to congratulate Nairobi Governor His Excellency Dr. Mike Mbuvi Sonko for attaining a honorary doctorate degree of excellence from the European Digital University at the University of Dubai.
The President who is in a three day official visit in Jamaica urged Sonko to continue with the good work he is doing in supporting and empowering the less fortunate as well as fighting for the rights of the underprivileged.
The governor travelled to Dubai to receive his doctorate degree and gave a captivating speech in acceptance.
President according to sources close to the Presidency, Uhuru who addressed the Governoras doctor told Sonko he is proud of him and urged him to keep up the good work he is doing.
Other leaders including nominated Senator Millie Omanga also congratulated the governor on their social media platforms.
Both the governor and the President are expected in the country later today.
