GOOD NEWS to upcoming artists as WERU TV launches Talent hub

Upcoming artistes in Meru can finally see light at the end of the tunnel after a local vernacular station, Weru FM, and DJ Alekkings teamed up to open the DJ Alekkings Talent Hub. It will be launched officially today at i604 Lounge.

In a region where entertainment has been on a slow roll, this is a reprieve for many aspiring DJs, MCs, musicians and songwriters, many of whom have had their dreams shattered due to lack of guidance and support. The launch will be attended by some of the big names in Meru entertainment circles, including Koffi Machete, the Woi Naanu hit-maker, as well as media personalities like MC Tash, Empress Rita and DJ Tush Untamed among others.

“I am building on a broad blend of wealth acquired in the last six years in the entertainment world when I have worked as a TV and radio host as well as a club DJ to give artistes the limelight they deserve,” DJ Alekkings told Pulse.

“My mission is to let Meru entertainment rise through training and giving upcoming artistes opportunities and exposure to grow on TV, Radio and the showbiz events that take place in the region,” he said.
