Raila DROPPED BOMBSHELL; Uhuru has KILLED Agriculture; Maize, Milk, Tea

Date:

NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga yesterday accused Uhuru Kenyatta of running down the Agriculture sector.

The former premier decried low prices given to Maize farmers, Dairy (Milk) and Tea farmers in North Rift.

mismanaging economy

The NASA leaders accused the Jubilee administration of mismanaging the economy, leading to high inflation. They said many Kenyans cannot make ends meet.

The leaders asked Kenyans not to reelect President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto for a second term, saying they do not have the interest of Kenyans at heart.

Raila said the Jubilee administration has borrowed heavily, both locally and internationally, without an elaborate agenda for the citizens.

“They are not interested in what the citizens receive,” he said.

Raila also said some powerful personalities in the Jubilee administration are planning to grab the New Kenya Co-operative Creameries assets, among them prime land.

“They have ripped off the National Treasury…Now they are targeting KCC after fleecing dairy farmers by buying their produce at a throwaway price,” he said.

Raila urged Kenyans to stop further plundering of the country’s economy by voting out the Jubilee administration.

He spoke in Kapsabet Showground, Nandi county. Raila was accompanied by other NASA principals – Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC’s Musalia Mudavadi, Ford Kenya’s Moses Wetang’ula and Isaac Rutto of CCM.

Raila said the Jubilee administration has failed to compensate the majority of IDPs across the country and only concentrated on one community.

He said Nandi county alone has 6,000 IDPs still waiting to be paid but the Jubilee administration has ignored them.

“They had promised to settle the payments before the General Election, but 60 days to the polls, they were still dragging their feet,” Raila said.

“My government will end your suffering if you elect me and NASA team to power.”
