President Uhuru Kenyatta leads Jubilee Party MPs in endorsing Justin Muturi and Ken Lusaka for the positions of Speaker in the National Assembly and Senate respectively.
The Parliamentary Group meeting resolved its line up for House leadership to be:
1. National Assembly
Speaker – Justin Muturi
Deputy – Moses Cheboi
Majority – Aden Duale
Deputy – Jimmy Angwenyi
Chief Whip – Benjamin Washiali
Deputy whip – Cecily Mbarire
2.Senate
Speaker – Ken Lusaka
Deputy – Kindiki Kithure
Majority – Kipchumba Murkomen
Deputy – Fatuma Dulo
Chief whip – Susan Kihika
Deputy – Irungu Kangata
Hon Ababu namwamba was left out in the cold together with Charles Nyachae who led Uhuru re-election campaigns in Gusii.
By endorsing Governor Lusaka president is preparing for a rerun with Raila incase Supreme Court nullifies his disputed August 8th victory.
