The body of a middle aged man from Kasarani area in Nairobi that was to be disposed by Nazareth Hospital Mortuary has finally been released by the hospital on Tuesday.

This is after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko paid the outstanding hospital bill of Sh185, 000 to the hospital after Kasarani leaders led by Area MCA Mwaura Samora and area Jubilee leader Ngacha Njeri contacted him following the detention of the body at the hospital’s mortuary for over 3 months.

The Kasarani based cobbler identified as Joseph Mwangi Wanjirû was admitted at Nazareth Hospital in Kiambu in July 2017 after sudden sickness and he died in August after spending a month in hospital.
