Governor Mike Sonko has sent his Finance Minister Danvas Makori and Chief Officer Ekaya Alumasi on compulsory leave. No reasons were given but city hall is rife with speculation that the two finance bosses were involved in graft.
Danvas Makori is an old hand in City Hall and even served during Governor Kidero’s era and therefore may have brought on board bad manners from his past dealings at City Hall. Makori was first appointed by Sonko as the minister in charge of Agriculture and was recently reshuffled to head finance.
