”We are going Digital from 3rd April 2018” – Lands CS Farida Karoney

Date:

Lands Cabinet Secretary Farida Karoney toured the survey of Kenya headquarters in Ruaraka on Saturday to assess the state of preparedness at the National Titling Centre [NTC] in readiness for the highly anticipated launch of the Land Information Management System [LIMS] on 3rd April.

The installation of the system will go a long way in improving the way customers are offered services online, through the system it will be able to eliminate cases of land fraud that has hit the ministry for so long and increase transparency in land transactions.
The services set to go online include transfer of ownership (transfer of lease and transfer of land), payment and issuance of land rent clearance certificates, payment of stamp duty, registration fees, consent fees, application and withdrawal of caution, registration of land documents and searches. The LIMS System will be accessed through the E-citizen portal

The Cabinet Secretary was accompanied by lands CAS Hon Gideon Mung’aro , PS Dr Nicolas Muraguri and other Senior officials in the ministry

Writer’s comment: CS Farida Karoney is likely to transform the Lands docket that has had so much fraud cases with cartels hailing the ministry.
