I know it is good manners to type Rest in peace. It is also African. But such are the times i miss the South African opposition icon to put us in our place.
I want this to be a death that painfully reminds me of my troubled childhood in Subukia. When sleeping in the maize plantation was norm for fear of attack. From who?You ask. From a government that facilitated the attack on my parents and our neighbours.A government that facilitated chiefs to drive around to supervise men ,women and children dying from poisonous arrows. As fire gutted down hard work of my family.I cry for my late father. The nights knew no peace neither did day breaks. The silent chats and whispers in class. Sharing how state supported cattle rustling had threatened our childhood. These are bad memoirs. But why did this happen every election cycle?
I speak from bitterness.Am not bitter at any of my neighbours because even they, found themselves in these curse attracting circumstances.
1992,Was a lost year for me and my candidate class. We were IDPs in our own homeland.I was lucky to have my father put me back on track with school.I cry in pain for the many children whose future has carried such a burden.Their education Stopped at primary!
I have forgiven the former president because they preach like that. But i have not forgotten.
I pray that when we get to our maker.I hope to see justice.I pray i see the planners of these acts.God i pray that on that day on the video,i see the financiers. I hope i will lift up my hand and ask a question on behalf of many children whose future these acts condemned. Just one Question. Why did you put us through all that? What price did my parents owe that we defaulted ?
His grace Arch Bishop Ndingi Mwan’ Anzeki will be my witness.
The only man that my father and i desperately waited to hear him speak. On the faint radio volume we could gather. My father would anounce to us that The Bishop had condemned the attacks. This is everything we hoped for.God bless his grace. And may God raise more men and women that will stand fearless before the mighty risking their life and limb just to present the case of the down trodden.
Outsiders Reading this will not understand but i am posting this on my Hommie’s wall because i know to many of you these events are fresh all over again.
We must condemn these types of dictatorships with all our might.Fear not.
But do this for future generations. Afterall there can never be healing without closure.
I have made my case Let Moi Face his maker.
