Uganda presidential candidate Kizza Besigye has been released and is heading to Makerere University for a rally.
Besigye was taken back to his house by Uganda police after he was arrested in the capital, Kampala, early Monday morning.
Besigye who lives in Kasangati, asked his supporters “to be strong, resolute, firm and to abide by the law”.
President Museveni’s order to ARREST Kizza Bisigye was meant to TEST waters for things to come later in the week if Ugandans vote him out, ”this was kind of a drill, Bisigye must be contained” – a top NRM official told local media.
FDC secretariat has however called on Ugandans to rise up up and protect their votes from being ‘stolen’.
Dr Bisigye is currently enroute to Kampala for a FINAL SUBMISSION rally before voting on Wednesday
