Lessons from Governor Kabogo VS Hon Waititu Degree FUCKERY

Date:

By Jackson Omondi

1. Devolution is here to stay. The two men are locking horns on a constitutional requirement stipulating that all gubernatorial candidates must be holders of an undergraduate degree!

2. Power is sweet. The vigour and precision of litigation in this imbroglio is testimony that once an individual tastes power, it will take a supernatural power to wrestle it away.

3. Kiambu gubernatorial race is a toss-up. If the incumbent’s sole goal is to disqualify a would-be opponent then it means that a clean, polished and qualified candidate can show up and run away with the seat.

4. Waititu is electorally scary. Governor Kabogo is no coward. But for him to morph into a modern day Patrick Shaw or the dreaded ‘Derrick’, means that he just doesn’t have the wherewithal to face Waititu kwa ‘debe.’

5. The Presidency is about to lose its most sought after stature. No presidential candidate has ever gone to court in a bid to disqualify his opponent solely on grounds of eligibility. Tellingly, Jubilants have been yapping about RAO’s academic credentials but have never gone to these unprecedented lengths to unearth RAO’s alleged mythical degrees! I wonder why!?

6. The corridors of Justice are bent towards Jubilee. Governor Kabogo and Baba Yao believe that on this issue, the courts will do the right thing and they are wasting no time, pulling all the stops to furnish the courts with everything. But when the very courts rule in favor of striking teachers, the verdict is given the pedestrian treatment.

7. CORD must keep on fighting to uphold the spirit of devolution because Jubilee is obeying the Constitution on an ad hoc basis. They are for it when it favors them and are vehemently against it when it speaks for the greater good.

Waswahili husema eti fahali wawili wakipigana ziumiazo ni nyasi , lakini Mimi nasema : fahali wawili wakipigana nyasi (Devolution) hupata mbolea smile emoticon
Asanteni smile emoticon
