Raila Odinga arap Mibei warmly welcome in Meibeki Moiben Constituency Uasin Gishu County today morning while enroute to Elgeyo Marakwet Marakwet.
Moiben Constituency is the home tuff of DP Ruto where he is building two billion worth home with a mini airstrip according to Star Newspaper.
Raila was given blessings to run for president in next year’s poll when he visited Meibeki Karona trading centre in Uasin Gichu county.
Raila urged the Kalenjin community to help him remove Jubilee Party from power by supporting his presidential bid.
He said he will soon go on an extensive tour of the region to woo locals into backing him ahead of the August 8, 2017 general election.
The opposition leader said the Jubilee government has not fulfilled its pledges to all Kenyans including Kalenjins.
Raila further said the ruling coalition has been “presiding over corruption” as most Kenyans live in abject poverty.
“They have stolen left, right and center through National Youth Service projects, the Eurobond and other scandals,” he said.
“They are yet to tell us where Eurobond money disappeared to along with other shares of public funds.”

Ahead of a highly anticipated visit by ODM Party Leader to Elgeyo Marakwet County, rebelling Jubilee Governor Alex Tolgos late last night received a phone call from State House Nairobi warning him of dire consequences if he turned up to receive and host the opposition leader and his entourage to his county this morning.
Raila is visiting Elgeyo Marakwet County in response to numerous delegations that have come to his office and hundreds of distress calls by local civilians who have been besieged by night attacks by bandits believed to be from the neighbouring Pokot community.
Close to one and half dozen people have lost their lives to bandit attacks since the beginning of the year and presently hundreds of school children are displaced throwing into serious doubt the possibility of national examinations taking place in Kerio Valley this year. This has prompted MCAs from the local communities to threaten to lead a protest march to state house Nairobi.
Raila is due to visit and continue his efforts in bridging warring communities and also distribute emergency relief supplies to displaced families who say the government and local county administrators have abandoned them.
State House functionaries became very worried when they received intelligence that Marakwets were preparing to receive Raila in big numbers at Kerio Valley which is the epicentre of the clashes.
Sources from Governor Tolgos’ office confirm that President Uhuru himself called the governor and warned him never to attend the opposition leader’s function, then later he allegedly personally telephoned all former MPs who were set to receive Raila to take today evening flight back to Nairobi.
Raila has been a friend of the people of Marakwet to who he has in past donated an ambulance to help boost capacity of the Kapsowar Health Centre and was also the first national leader to visit the area when it was hit by a landslide.
ODM national deputy treasurer Ogla Karani who is from EMC said that Raila will be accompanied by several Governors and MPs where they are expected discuss insecurity issues with the locals and distribute emergency supplies.
