To all the people of Lang’ata Constituency :
My name is Ahmed Ibrahim popularly known as Papa. I was born and raised in Lang’ata Ngei 1. There is a reason I am doing this introduction so kindly be patient.
My education begun at Langata Junior Kindergarten in Moi Est., then St. Michaels Nursery -Ngei 1 then onwards I attended Lang’ata West primary school from class one through to class eight.
Today I am a proud product of Langata, a business man, a family man married to Fozia Ahmed & a father of three. Aeedah, Rania & Maliq. My family & I are all residents in various estates in Langata , My mother and siblings too still live in Lang’ata at our original family home. Through them and through many of my neighbourhood friends and peers, I retain very close links to Lang’ata and its people.
Through the last few years, I have watched with dismay as public amenities and services in Lang’ata regressed, crumbled and in some serious instances totally collapsed! From memories of my childhood, it has truly broken my heart to see Lang’ata suffer from ideological decisions of the past and poor representation.
I will soon be visiting our neighbourhood to interact more and to get to learn about our common challenges. You will also hear about some of the short, medium and long term solutions that we think Lang’ata needs.
It is because of these reasons that I want to offer my candidature to be Lang’ata Member of Parliament in the 2017 general elections. My primary objective is to genuinely seek sustainable solutions that can help improve our estates and our lives so that Lang’ata can regain it’s lost glory. I believe that we can change Lang’ata.
When faced by challenges, my mother and teachers at Lang’ata West taught me to be creative at seeking solutions. Part of this creativity always involved bringing people together and making decisions that affect us together.
I look forward to our long term partnership.
Sincerely
Ahmed Ibrahim Papa
