BREAKING: Raila Calls For Countrywide Mass Action, Monday and Fridays to Protest Against Uhuru Regime

Date:

Prime Minister Raila Odinga has called on Kenyans to rise up against Uhuru Jubilee regime for introducing regressive electoral laws that takes Kenya back to 1980s.
The Opposition leader said the protests will be held every Monday and Friday starting next week.

The coalition will not hold demonstrations earlier scheduled for tomorrow so supporters can prepare for the coming week.

Raila said the protests will not end until Jubilee stops its plan to change election laws. But a committee has already been formed to handle this.

The Bill seeks to amend the IEBC Act, the Election Act and the Elections Offences Act by giving manually transmitted results more clout than the electronically transmitted ones.

The Peoples president asked citizens to resist the return of dictatorship under President Uhuru Kenyatta’s Jubilee administration saying it is reminiscent of the era of single-party rule.

“I call upon this generation to arise and resist attempts by Jubilee to impose laws aimed at rigging elections. Enough is enough.”
