Breaking: NASA Leaders Led by Orengo Storm Nairobi CBD, Police Fire Tear Gas Canisters, Babu Owino Escapes Unhurt, Car Shot By Police

    Shots fired in CBD as NASA leaders stormed CBD. The leaders who gained entry via parliament road caught police officers off gurd forcing a chase upto Kencom/Ambassador b
    us stop where police fired tear gas canisters along Agha Khan walk outside Uchumi house.

    Meanwhile Babu Owino escaped unhurt as his car was badly damaged after police shot at from the back- see photo below.

    NASA leaders have been dispersed from Nairobi’s Central Business District after they managed to gain access to the city center during their anti-IEBC demonstrations.

    The NASA leaders led by Siaya Senator James Orengo, Nairobi Woman Representative Hon Esther Passaris, Embakasi East MP Babu Owino who were marching to the IEBC head offices at Anniversary Towers were forced to retreat after police fired tear gas canisters on them.

    Meanwhile anti-riot police have heightened security along University Way to prevent the NASA protesters from gaining accessing to the IEBC offices after the government banned the protests within the CBD of Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa cities.
