Police have shot a man in a stand-off with Kibera residents after a confrontation over alleged attempted assasssination on Raila Odinga earlier during the day.
The injured man has been rushed to a nearby hospital facility nearby and is said to be in critical condition.
Kilimani OCPD Peter Katam confirmed a group of about 200 youth tried to uproot the railway but officers on patrol stopped them.
Mr Katam said live shots were fired as the youth turned violent
Mr Katam to local reporters that the situation is now under control and people are returning to their houses.
