Position: Network Engineer
As part of the bank’s ICT team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the bank’s network systems, including Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). The role demands proficiency in network design, support, and security, alongside the capability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing, maintaining, and supporting LAN/WAN systems to ensure maximum network uptime.
- Securing the bank’s corporate network from external threats, ensuring data integrity and privacy.
- Monitoring network performance and taking proactive steps to optimize it.
- Working closely with other departments to meet their IT needs and requirements.
- Managing and troubleshooting networking issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A valid Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is a must for this role, as it demonstrates the necessary skills to manage complex network infrastructures.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in LAN/WAN design, implementation, and support. Prior experience in a corporate or large-scale environment is highly desirable.
- A solid understanding of network security protocols, routers, switches, and firewall configurations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve network issues.
