Sometimes early this year, the DP hosted IDP representatives in his Karen home/office to update on the final resettlement program where a total of Kshs 1,052,000,000 was to be released and he had this to say
“From tomorrow, these monies will be available in the IDPs’ bank accounts and we expect that by Monday no one will be remaining in the camps and all they will all be closed,” the DP assured.
In yesterday’s budget though, a total of Kshs 6,000,000,000 was set aside for final IDP resettlement.
This begs the question, what exactly is the meaning of the word FINAL?
